In 2006, founder Mikkel Borg founded Mikkeller, a phantom brewer without a specific brewery. Juniper berry, the main ingredient of gin, and several botanicals are added to the luxurious spirits made from ale beer based on the popular hop "Simcoe" and carefully distilled. A gin with a pleasant bitter hop flavor derived from Simcoe hops and a wonderful finish.
