The brand name "Connemara" is a city in western Ireland, northwest of Galway, a famous place as Connemara National Park facing the Atlantic Ocean. It was once a peat mining site. Irish whiskey is generally considered to have no smoky flavor, but in the olden days Irish used peated malt. The product name "Kanemara" was named with that nostalgia.
