A heavy peated single malt made with 50ppm phenolic malt cooked with plenty of Islay peat. In contrast to the flagship 'Machiar Bay', which captures more of the bourbon character, it strongly reflects the characteristics of Oloroso sherry casks. 'Sanaig' is the name of a small rocky cove northwest of the distillery.
