SAKURAO DISTILLERY is located in Hatsukaichi City, with the Seto Inland Sea to the south and the Chugoku Mountains to the north. Warm winds from the sea and cold winds from the mountains reach the Sakurao Storage Warehouse inside the distillery, creating a large temperature difference throughout the year, which accelerates the maturation of the whiskey.
In addition, because it is located on the ocean side, the aging barrels are faintly scented with the gentle tides of the Seto Inland Sea. Aromas of raisins, oranges, and peaches spread throughout, along with a vanilla-like sweetness and moderate astringency and sourness.
